About the Missiles
The Mimosa Missiles Swim Team has been a unique part of the Mimosa community many years. The Missiles are so special because we have boys and girls from 5 to 16 years old, from the neighborhood and beyond, all on the same team. We have strong participation from all swimmers, even those at the upper range of the age permitted by the league which is 16 years. Our parent volunteers are key to our success and we strongly encourage all to participate. The Missiles have practice and meets during the week, with the weekends off, starting the day after the last day of school. There are approximately 6-8 meets each season, either at our home pool or at other local pools in the area. Each summer, the coaches organize a team trip which is a chance for us all to get together and have fun. The season wraps up with a Championship meet for qualifying swimmers the last week of July, and a team banquet where all swimmers are recognized and families come together to celebrate the season. Our main goals for our swimmers are for them to have fun, improve their skills in the water, and to experience the magic of being a part of the Mimosa Missiles Swim Team!
