Meet the Coaches!
Lily has been swimming since she was six years old. She started on mimosa missiles and did it until she aged out at 16. During her time swimming for the Missiles, she received the Coaches Award for being recognized for leadership and the Spirit Award. She started swimming at Ridgefield Aquatic Club in fourth grade and has done it ever since, achieving numerous individual Connecticut Regional Championship 1st place and podium results. She has also been a part of the girl’s high school swim and dive team for all four years. In 2022, their team was FCIAC and CIAC champions. In addition, she is also an American Red Cross certified lifeguard at Mimosa and has been for two summers. She was an assistant coach to the younger kids for the past two years, getting in the water with them and helping to teach them the strokes.
Riley has swam since she was 4 years old, starting on the Boys and Girls club team with her sister. She then joined RAC when she was 6 and has swam ever since. She joined the mimosa team when she was around 9 years old and now is currently part of the Girls high school swim team where in 2022 they not only won the state championship as a team, but she individually won an event. As well, this last summer she was a part of the RAC team that won the seniors championship. Next year she will be attending Loyola University Maryland where she will be on a division one swim team. She is also an American Red Cross certified lifeguard and has worked at Mimosa for the past two summers and plans on coming back for her third. She has been working with the mimosa team for the past two years as an assistant to Katherine, getting to know the kids and helping them not only love the sport but learn all the aspects to it as well.
